ESPN Latin America has premiered the ESPN Cine & Series segment on May 4th, an initiative that brings together the best productions from The Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Studios related to the sports world.
‘This initiative strengthens the permanent commitment to offer the highest quality content to all Latin America. ESPN is already known to fans for bringing excellent sports documentaries in its ‘ESPN: 30 for 30’ series, and will now bring fans sports-related fiction films with the premiere of ESPN Cine & Series. Everyone is invited to enjoy this exceptional proposal’, said Michael Walters, VP of Programming & Acquisitions Latin America, ESPN.
ESPN Cine & Series will features premieres from Monday to Friday, and contents to binge-watch on Saturdays and Sundays, in which people will be able to watch the content broadcast during the week. The first title to be aired as part of the new segment will be the series ‘El Cesar’, which stars Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez. ‘His achievements in the ring transcended borders, but not many people know the man behind the legend, and that is exactly what will be reflected in this production’, describes ESPN, who, up to now, has not reported what other content will be available on its new section.
