Fox Sports Mexico shifts its digital live production to the cloud with Grabyo

Fox Sports Mexico has partnered with Grabyo to transition its live digital video production to the cloud. Through Grabyo, the broadcaster will reach sports fans across Mexico with live and real-time video across its digital channels, delivering content remotely and safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The broadcaster holds media rights to many of the world’s premier sporting events. At a time when very little live sport is taking place, it is leveraging Grabyo’s cloud-native platform to deliver new live experiences across its social, mobile and OTT channels.

Fox Sports Mexico utilized Grabyo’s advanced live production capabilities to broadcast the 2020 NFL Draft to its website and OTT platform, Fox Sports App. The broadcast was delivered in HD, entirely in the cloud, and localized for Spanish-speaking audiences using a commentator to translate.

Alongside enhancing its live production, Fox Sports Mexico will also use Grabyo to clip, edit and deliver real-time clips and social videos to its digital channels. To be truly multi-platform, Fox Sports Mexico will tailor its content formats for its social channels. VOD clips are accessible anywhere, at any time and create touchpoints with fans outside of live broadcasts or live sport, which is essential at a time when very little live sport are taking place.
